An amalgamation of globally influenced fare and the eclectic neighborhood restaurant, Alchemy is fast making a name for itself as a comfortable space to enjoy a palette pleasing selection of sophisticated dishes, unique cocktails and a casual yet contemporary ambiance. Anchored in the hip up-and-coming neighborhood of South Park along the burgeoning 30th Street "restaurant row," Alchemy provides restaurant-goers an authentic and sophisticated gastronomic experience at a surprisingly affordable price. Executive Chef Ricardo Heredia along with consulting Chef Matt Corbett of Manhattan's Punch restaurant fame (formerly of Union Square, Django and Compass in Manhattan) have created a simple yet creative menu that draws on their collective bi-coastal influences as well as techniques and flavors from various cultures including Spain, Mexico, Italy and France. Alchemy offers guests a variety of "snacks," small plate options and main entrees with seasonal selections in all three categories.

About Alchemy

In keeping true to the old adage that, "the only thing constant in life is change," we have a plethora of changes that must be seen to appreciate. First off our menu, if you have not already seen it or tried it, you must check out our new ‘Street Food' section as well as our ‘Vegetarian' section. We also have a new beverage menu changes, on course for our seasonal menu change...the Papagallo puts the classic Mai Thai to shame. Last, but not least, we have an artist change in the restaurant. Just installed this week is art from Bryen Beglinger (might remember a cover he did for City Beat a few months back of a portrait of Hunter S. Thompson), a great representation of various historical (or pop) figures done in a pop art style all of his own. So get on board with "change," and get in here to be a part of it!

Meet the Owner(s)

Ron Troyano - A jack of all trades, you may see Ron discussing the vineyard soil in the Rhone Valley one minute and bussing your table the next. A firm believer in the "blue collar" work ethic of his upbringing and a passion for enjoying the dining experience, Ron is right at home in the restaurant industry.

Matt Thomas- After years of pursuing "truth" through the study of philosophy, Matt found himself even more confused than when he started. He then chose to pursue his other favorite hobbies: cultural culinary delights, fine spirits and fermented grapes, and visual stimulation through design and art. At his final destination, Matt found himself nestled within the warm and "comforting bosom" of the restaurant and art industry.
